Jack Eichborn Swedish , 1906-1981

Jack Eichborn was a Swedish painter born in Manchester in 1906 to Swedish parents. Active during the mid-20th century, he became known for his atmospheric oil paintings depicting Parisian street scenes, harbours, coastal landscapes, cafés, and European town views. His work is characterised by expressive brushwork and rich colour, often reflecting the influence of French post-war modernism. Eichborn exhibited and sold primarily in Scandinavia and Europe, and his paintings continue to appear regularly at auction. He died in 1981.
