Vincenzo Morra Italian , b. 1941

Vincenzo Morra is an Italian painter, born in Piacenza in 1941. His work is principally concerned with the Italian landscape and scenes of rural and everyday life.

Morra frequently depicted farmers and agricultural workers, markets, livestock and village life, as well as landscapes from southern Italy. His subjects include Calabria, harvest scenes, rural figures and bustling markets, reflecting an interest in the people and traditions of the Italian countryside.

Working primarily in oil on canvas, board and other supports, Morra's paintings are characterised by a direct and expressive handling of paint. His works have been exhibited and offered through Italian galleries and auction houses, with examples dating from at least the 1970s. A painting titled Mercato, dated 1975, is recorded in the collection of the Pallavicini Art Gallery.

Morra's paintings continue to appear on the Italian and international art market, particularly his depictions of rural life, agricultural labour and the landscapes of southern Italy.
