Gustaf Fogelberg Swedish , 1901-1971
Gustaf Fogelberg (1901–1971) was a Swedish painter known for his oils, gouaches and watercolours of urban and regional views. Active in the mid‑twentieth century, his work often depicts streets, quaysides and landscapes from towns such as Jönköping and Huskvarna with a calm, observational approach and an emphasis on atmosphere and place.
Fogelberg’s paintings have appeared at auction throughout Sweden, where signed works in oil and gouache continue to attract interest from collectors for their period charm and everyday subject matter.
