Carl Berndtsson (1902–1982) was a Swedish painter born in Lyby, Scania, best known for his still lifes, floral compositions, and mountain landscapes. He undertook study trips to England, Belgium, France, and South Africa, which helped shape his painterly style. During his career, he exhibited with the Skåne Art Association in the 1930s, participated in the Swedish Arts Council exhibition in 1940, and also held solo exhibitions in Stockholm and Köping. His work is noted for its decorative quality and strong colour, often continuing in the tradition of the Swedish painter Hans Larsson.
