Agda Holst (1886–1976) was a Swedish painter and one of the early pioneers of modernism in Sweden. Born in Helsingborg, she studied at the Technical School in Stockholm and later continued her artistic training in Munich and Paris, where she was influenced by the avant-garde movements of the early 20th century. Her work often featured portraits, still lifes, interiors, and landscapes, characterised by strong colour, expressive brushwork, and a modernist approach to form. Holst became an important figure in the cultural life of Skåne and was among the few women of her generation to establish a significant presence in Scandinavian modern art.
