Astrid Harms-Ringdahl was a Finnish-born Swedish painter best known for her expressive landscapes and coastal scenes. She was born in Helsinki and later settled in Sweden, where she studied at the Tekniska skolan in Stockholm before continuing her training at the Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts between 1936 and 1942.

Harms-Ringdahl exhibited regularly in Sweden throughout her career, including at well-known Stockholm venues such as Liljevalchs Konsthall and Stenmans konstsalong. Her work is characterised by confident, painterly brushwork and a sensitive handling of colour, often capturing the atmosphere of the Swedish countryside and the distinctive light of coastal regions such as Österlen and Kåseberga.

Over the course of her career she travelled widely and participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions. Today her paintings are represented in Swedish public collections and continue to be appreciated for their lively, atmospheric interpretations of the Nordic landscape.
