Bengt Berglund (born 1936) is a Swedish artist, ceramist and enamel painter whose work spans ceramics, sculpture and decorative art. Born in Landskrona, he trained at Gustavsberg’s workshop school and at Konstfack in Stockholm in the 1950s before joining the Gustavsberg Porcelain Factory in 1960.

At Gustavsberg he developed a personal and often playful approach to ceramic art, creating inventive forms, figures and enamel pieces that departed from traditional stoneware. His early exhibitions in Stockholm and New York helped establish his reputation, and in the late 1960s and 1970s he was known for experimental work including “Kultstenar” and enamel painting alongside public and studio commissions.

After leaving Gustavsberg in the early 1980s, Berglund continued as a freelance artist, producing ceramics, enamels and sculptural work that remains sought after on the Swedish art market for its craftsmanship and expressive character.
