Eric Cederberg (1897–1984) was a Swedish painter best known for his distinctive mid-century still lifes and surreal coastal landscapes. A largely self-taught artist, he began exhibiting in the 1920s and developed a recognisable style that blended Impressionist, Cubist, and Surrealist influences. His paintings often feature pears, apples, chestnuts, shells, and jugs arranged in dreamlike compositions, alongside atmospheric seascapes and quiet village scenes.
Cederberg also worked as an illustrator and shop decorator, which contributed to the strong sense of design in his work. Today, his paintings are highly sought after for their decorative appeal and strong connection to Scandinavian modernism, and his works are represented in several Swedish museum collections.
